Employer LiabilityThere are two parts to Workers Compensation insurance with the second part being the Part B policy. It covers liability arising out of an employee’s work-related injuries that do not fall under the workers compensation statute. All Corporations and Limited Liability Corporations (LLCs) must obtain workers compensation insurance for its employees. Although members and managers of LLCs and Sole Proprietors are exempt, they may elect to secure coverage for himself/herself. Additionally, Owners and officers of corporations can exclude themselves from coverage.
